Catholic life & mission

At St Teresa’s our spiritual life and faith are at the core of everything we do. We nurture and cherish our children. We work hard to ensure everyone feels part of God’s family and the family of St Teresa's. Everyone is treated with kindness and respect, just as Jesus taught us to:

“Love one another, as I have loved you.”

At the heart of Catholic Education, lies our vision of how people should be. This is embedded in our RE lessons, assemblies and liturgies.

Pupils at St Teresa’s are taught our Catholic faith through the Gospel Values that underpin our Mission Statement. This teaching  pervades all aspects of school life. Each Year Group focuses on a different value, exploring its meaning and how it can be lived out in everyday life.

Christ is at the centre of school life, showing us how to be kind and make good choices. It is intrinsic to how we interact and build relationships with our families, colleagues and community.

This aspect of school life extends beyond assemblies and RE teaching into our support of local, national and international charities such as CAFOD, Mission, SVP and Harp.

There is a pupil group of Liturgy Leaders who lead in this area alongside the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher. We asked our Liturgy Leaders what they appreciate about the Catholic life of our school, see their comments below.

Our Year 6 pupils led the Stations of the Cross service, watch below.
